A new federal rebate announced on October 8, 2026 that will pay $2,000 toward an eligible cold-climate air-source heat pump, or up to $10,000 for households below the median income. Applications are not open yet.

The tracker is built from the same verified records as the rest of the site. Opening and deadline dates come from each program’s start date and official deadline. Closures, announcements and amount changes come from our reviews against official sources, and we only show a date when the program or its administrator published one.
When a program changes an amount without dating it, we show the day we recorded the change and say so. Corrections to our own mistakes are not listed as program changes. Read how we verify programs, get the full dataset as CSV or JSON, or follow changes with the RSS feed.
