Appliance rebates in Canada
12 current programs across Canada pay for efficient appliances, in 8 provinces and territories. Homeowners can stack the most in the Northwest Territories ($750), Québec ($250) and Ontario ($200) today. Pick your province for the rates that fit your home.
Appliance rebates are small but easy, usually for ENERGY STAR certified models and sometimes offered as instant discounts at retailers. Heat pump dryers and induction cooktops are newer additions in some programs. Here's what your province and utility currently offer.

Appliance rebates
General advice. Each program’s own rules come first.
- Buy certified
- Appliance rebates almost always require an ENERGY STAR certified model. Check the model number before buying.
- Claim within the window
- Most programs need the receipt uploaded within a set number of days after purchase.
- Think about the panel
- Induction ranges and heat pump dryers may need a dedicated circuit. Ask an electrician before you order.
