Window and door rebates in Canada

40 current programs across Canada pay for windows and doors, in 12 provinces and territories including 1 federal program. Homeowners can stack the most in Québec ($6,000), British Columbia ($2,000) and Yukon ($1,800) today. Pick your province for the rates that fit your home.

Window and door rebates are usually modest, often paid per opening, and many require ENERGY STAR certified products. Some programs only pay when windows are part of a bundle with an energy assessment. We show which provinces still offer them and how to qualify.

What to know about window and door rebates

General advice. Each program’s own rules come first.

Look for ENERGY STAR for your zone
Most programs require ENERGY STAR certified products rated for your climate zone. Ask for the certification on the quote.
Count rough openings
Rebates are usually paid per opening. Programs often set a minimum number of windows or doors per claim.
Expect an assessment
Window rebates are commonly tied to a pre- and post-retrofit energy assessment, so book that first.

Get up to 3 window and door quotes

Tell us where you live and what you’re planning. We’ll send your request to up to 3 installers who know the local rebate paperwork.

We’re independent. We never take rebate applications or charge you to apply; always apply through the official program.

Request quotes

Free, no obligation. We pass your request to up to 3 independent installers who serve your area and, where a program requires it, are registered with it.
