What to know about window and door rebates in British Columbia

The first tip comes from the program’s own steps. Each program’s rules come first.

How HRR works in B.C.
Check that your home and upgrade qualify on the BC Hydro or FortisBC rebate pages. Get quotes from HPCN contractors and have the work done.
Look for ENERGY STAR for your zone
Most programs require ENERGY STAR certified products rated for your climate zone. Ask for the certification on the quote.
Count rough openings
Rebates are usually paid per opening. Programs often set a minimum number of windows or doors per claim.
