Furnace and boiler rebates in Canada

Every province and territory has at least one way to pay for a new furnace or boiler: 35 current programs. Homeowners can stack the most in the Northwest Territories ($30,000), Yukon ($15,000) and Newfoundland and Labrador ($5,000) today. Pick your province for the rates that fit your home.

Most new heating rebates in Canada now favour heat pumps, but some gas utilities still offer incentives for high-efficiency furnaces and boilers, and oil-heated homes often get the biggest fuel-switching grants. Compare your options here before replacing a failing system.

Replacing a furnace or boiler

General advice. Each program’s own rules come first.

Price a heat pump option too
Most new rebates favour heat pumps or hybrid systems over a straight furnace swap. Ask for both quotes.
Look for high-efficiency ratings
Where furnace or boiler incentives exist, they usually require a high AFUE rating and a listed model.
Check fuel-switching rules
Some programs pay more for switching away from oil or propane. Note your current fuel on every application.

Get up to 3 heating system quotes

Tell us where you live and what you’re planning. We’ll send your request to up to 3 installers who know the local rebate paperwork.

We’re independent. We never take rebate applications or charge you to apply; always apply through the official program.

Request quotes
