What slows a rebate down

  • A missing invoice, model number or nameplate photo. Programs such as LogisVert ask for photos of the equipment nameplates.
  • A final assessment that isn't booked yet, for programs with an assessment track.
  • Paying by cheque instead of e-transfer or direct deposit, where the program offers both.

If you can't wait for the money

Some programs pay the installer directly or discount the price upfront: see who gets the rebate. Low-interest loans can bridge the gap: see home energy loans.
