Check the quote

If an installer says they'll "take care of the rebate", ask whether the price on the quote is before or after it, and who receives the money. Some programs have the installer submit the application but still pay you. See do I need a registered contractor and heat pump rebate scams.

Is the rebate taxable?

See are home energy rebates taxable. LogisVert, for example, asks for your SIN so Hydro-Québec can issue a Relevé 27.
