How it works

Retrofit Assist is a free home retrofit concierge run by the non-profit Community Energy Association in partnership with local governments. An advisor talks through your goals, explains rebates and financing, helps you plan upgrades such as air sealing, insulation, windows, heat pumps and solar, and connects you with Energy Advisors and contractors.

While subsidies last, participants can book a pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation for $99 plus tax, which the program says saves $500 or more. The team also helps arrange the post-retrofit evaluation and make the most of available rebates and loans.

Who qualifies

  • Residents of a participating community: Kamloops, Squamish, Whistler or the East Kootenay.
  • Homeowners and renters can take part.

How to apply
