How it works
efficiencyPEI paid rebates on cold-climate air-source and geothermal heat pumps installed by Network of Excellence contractors, with higher amounts for income-qualified households. The province reports that these rebates, along with most other residential equipment rebates, ended on April 15, 2026.
The last published amounts were $900 for a mini-split ($1,800 income-qualified), $2,500 for a central system ($4,500 income-qualified) and $4,000 for ground-source ($7,500 income-qualified). Equipment bought between April 15, 2025 and April 15, 2026 can still be claimed within one year of purchase.
