Solar rebates in British Columbia

The first tip comes from the program’s own steps. Each program’s rules come first.

How BC Hydro Solar and Battery Rebates program works in B.C.
Get quotes from HPCN-member solar and battery installers. Submit a self-generation application through MyHydro and wait for technical acceptance before buying equipment.
Read the metering rules
Some rebates exclude net metering or require load-displacement systems. Check this before you sign, because it changes how the system is designed.
Check the roof first
If your roof needs replacing within ten years, do it before the panels go on.
