How it works

HERR helped Saskatchewan homeowners improve their building envelope with high-performance windows, doors, insulation and air sealing. It was paired with the federal Canada Greener Homes Grant and required pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluations.

The program offered up to $1,800 for upgrades plus $200 toward the EnerGuide evaluations. It ended in April 2026.

There is currently no provincial or utility rebate for insulation or windows in Saskatchewan.
