How it works

From 2020, AEA offered $5,000 toward new battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles and $500 toward Level 2 chargers for residents of hydro-connected communities, with pre-approval required. The EV rebate no longer appears among AEA's current rebates and services.

The federal Electric Vehicle Affordability Program remains available for new EVs.
