How it works
The incentive was applied by PEI dealers at the point of sale on purchases and leases of battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The last rates were $4,000 for battery-electric and $2,000 for plug-in hybrids; Teslas were removed from eligibility in March 2025, and the free Level 2 charger perk was dropped in 2025.
The province says it will provide an update as soon as possible. No resumption had been announced by October 2026.
Who qualifies
The program has not published detailed eligibility rules.
