How it works
Eligible New Brunswick homeowners could receive an advance payment based on approved contractor quotes, up to $15,000, to replace oil heat with a whole-home heat pump system. The advance could also cover electrical upgrades, ground-loop piping, oil tank removal and supplemental electric heat. Natural Resources Canada also paid a one-time $250 bonus.
Registration closed June 30, 2026. Registered participants had to submit their paperwork and quotes by October 1, 2026, and all work plus the final evaluation must be complete by March 31, 2027 or the advance must be repaid. No extensions are offered.
