How it works

The program paid a per-kW rebate on grid-tied solar PV. In 2025 the residential rate was halved to $500 per kW with a $5,000 cap, and the program then became fully subscribed.

As of April 2026 the province said intake remains paused while funding and final program details for 2026-27 are finalized. No reopening had been confirmed by October 2026.

Who qualifies

The program has not published detailed eligibility rules.
