How it works

OHPA on PEI was co-delivered by the province and Natural Resources Canada as a direct-install program: approved low- to median-income households heating with oil had a cold-climate heat pump installed at no cost. Applications went through the province's free heat pump program portal.

The program is closed to new applicants; previously approved households are still being served.

Who qualifies

The program has not published detailed eligibility rules.
