What myEnergy Rewards pays for each upgrade

How it works

myEnergy Rewards is Hydro One's own smart-thermostat demand response program, offered as an alternative to the province's Peak Perks. On high-demand days you get a notice, and your enrolled thermostat is adjusted slightly to ease load on the grid, sometimes after a short pre-cool. You can override any adjustment.

The current offer gives new applicants a $100 prepaid credit card once their thermostat is connected and enrolment is confirmed. It is limited to the first 5,500 eligible applicants and ends November 30, 2026. Hydro One also runs an invitation-only EV managed-charging pilot that pays up to $100.

Who qualifies

  • Hydro One residential or small business customer in an eligible postal code (check with Hydro One's eligibility tool).
  • Compatible HVAC smart thermostat (Sensi, ecobee, Google Nest or Honeywell models) and stable, always-on Wi-Fi.
  • You cannot be enrolled in Save on Energy's Peak Perks at the same time.

How to apply

  1. Step 1: Check your postal code on Hydro One's myEnergy Rewards page.

  2. Step 2: Click Enrol now, choose your thermostat brand, and follow the prompts on the partner platform.

  3. Step 3: Connect the thermostat. The reward is sent once enrolment is confirmed.
