Install-by, apply-by and while funds last

A deadline can mean three different things, and missing the wrong one costs you the rebate:

  • Install by: the work must be finished and invoiced by the date, as with the BC Hydro heat pump bonus.
  • Apply by: the application must reach the program by the date. Some programs give you weeks or months after installation; Laval, for example, takes applications until January 31, 2027 for work done by December 31, 2026.
  • While funds last: the program can close before its date. Treat the date as a latest possible day.
