How it works

Écorecharge took over Québec's charging-station grants from Roulez vert on March 17, 2026, and runs until March 31, 2028. EV owners who buy, or lease for at least 36 months, a Level 2 charger for a house or duplex receive a flat $600. You must already own a battery-electric vehicle, plug-in hybrid or electric motorcycle registered in Québec when you apply, and the charger must cost at least $600 before tax. Installation costs are not covered for home chargers. Chargers acquired since April 1, 2026 must be connected (smart) models on the program's eligible list.

Residents of buildings with 3 or more units and shared parking can receive $600 for the charger plus 50% of installation costs, up to $5,000 in total, if the building's electrical system has not already been upgraded with program funding. Separate streams fund building owners and condo syndicates for charging studies (75% up to $5,000 per building), electrical infrastructure upgrades (50% up to $120,000 per building) and shared chargers, as well as workplace and organization chargers.

Who qualifies

  • Home stream: building of 1 or 2 dwellings in Québec, used mainly as a residence, where the applicant lives
