How it works
Repentigny's eco-citizen transition program refunds part of the cost of a range of green purchases. Two items help with home energy use.
A new Level 2 (240 V) charger that is eligible under the provincial program, bought from a Canadian store and installed at your home by a licensed electrician, qualifies for $150. Any resident can apply.
Owners who replace foggy, cracked or broken sealed glass units in existing window frames with IGMAC-certified (or equivalent) units get up to $75 per unit when bought in Repentigny (up to $450), or up to $60 per unit from another Canadian store (up to $360).
Requests must be made within 12 months of the purchase. Each property can make at most three requests a year across the program, and payment depends on the program still being in effect.
Who qualifies
- EV charger: Repentigny resident with proof of residence.
- Window glass: owner of a property in Repentigny.
- Purchase from a Canadian store (higher amounts for Repentigny stores where offered), with a complete invoice.
- Request made within 12 months of the purchase. Maximum three requests per property per year.
How to apply
Step 1: Check whether your work needs a permit by calling the urban planning department at 450-470-3840.
Step 2: Keep the invoices, installation invoice and before-and-after photos required for each item.
Step 3: Submit the online request through the city's Mon compte portal, or in person at city hall. Payment is by cheque, usually 4 to 6 weeks after a complete request.
