How it works

The City of Terrebonne offers a small top-up to the Québec government's home charger grant. If you buy and install a charger, the city covers the cost left after the provincial grant, up to $100 before tax. If you only need installation of a charger you got for free or bought more than six months earlier, the city covers up to $100 of the installation cost.

Owner-occupants of houses and condo units, owners of rental buildings (for a charger all tenants can use), and condo syndicates (for a shared charger) can apply. Tenants cannot. Several requests are allowed per building.

Who qualifies

  • Owner of a non-commercial residential property in Terrebonne: owner-occupant, non-occupant owner (for shared use by tenants in multi-unit buildings) or condo syndicate (shared use).
  • For purchase and installation, you must first have received the provincial home charger grant.
  • The charger must be installed within 6 months of purchase, and the request made within 12 months of purchase.
  • Tenants, private sales between individuals and home-made chargers are not eligible.

How to apply

  1. Step 1: Get the provincial home charger grant if you are buying a new charger.

  2. Step 2: Log in to your online file (Mes requêtes) on terrebonne.ca and create a request with two proofs of residence, proof of ownership and the purchase and installation invoices.

  3. Step 3: If you have no internet access, you can apply in person at the Bureau des citoyens, 708 A, boulevard des Seigneurs.
