Solar rebates in Ontario
The first tip comes from the program’s own steps. Each program’s rules come first.
- How HRSP works in Ont.
- Go to homerenovationsavings.ca and choose the with-assessment or without-assessment path. Heat pumps and attic insulation: confirm eligibility online and hire a participating contractor, who submits the application. Heat pumps need pre-approval before installation.
- Read the metering rules
- Some rebates exclude net metering or require load-displacement systems. Check this before you sign, because it changes how the system is designed.
- Check the roof first
- If your roof needs replacing within ten years, do it before the panels go on.
