Kingston home energy rebates and loans

Kingston’s Better Homes Kingston is closed to new applications. For an air-source heat pump, Ontario’s Home Renovation Savings Program pays up to $7,500 if you heat with electricity, oil or propane, or $2,000 with natural gas. The federal National Heat Pump Rebate will add $2,000, or up to $10,000 below the median income, once it opens.

Kingston has one of Ontario’s oldest housing stocks, with limestone and brick homes downtown and post-war suburbs to the west and east. In central Kingston the City-owned Utilities Kingston supplies both electricity and natural gas.
