Getting an energy assessment in Québec

The first tip comes from the program’s own steps. Each program’s rules come first.

How Rénoclimat works in Que.
Optional: book an energy evaluation with an ÉnerGuide service organization. Up to $500 is covered. Check the technical requirements in the participant guide, hire licensed contractors, and have each contractor sign the certificate of compliance.
Do it first
Many larger rebates need an assessment before any upgrade starts. Booking it after the work is done can disqualify you.
Use a registered advisor
Use an energy advisor registered with the program so your EnerGuide results count.
Treat the report as a plan
The report ranks upgrades for your house. Use it to decide the order of work and to compare contractor quotes.
