Home battery rebates in Québec
The first tip comes from the program’s own steps. Each program’s rules come first.
- How Rénoclimat works in Que.
- Optional: book an energy evaluation with an ÉnerGuide service organization. Up to $500 is covered. Check the technical requirements in the participant guide, hire licensed contractors, and have each contractor sign the certificate of compliance.
- Check the pairing rules
- Many battery rebates only apply when the battery is installed with new solar, not added to an existing system.
- Size it for what you need
- Decide whether you want backup power for essentials or daily bill savings. The answer changes the size and cost.
- Confirm utility approval
- Your utility may need to approve the interconnection before installation.
