Edmonton home energy rebates and loans

Edmonton homeowners can borrow up to $50,000 for a heat pump and other upgrades through the Edmonton CEIP (waitlist only). The federal National Heat Pump Rebate will add $2,000, or up to $10,000 below the median income, once it opens.

Edmonton is one of Canada’s coldest big cities, and almost all of its homes heat with natural gas. Its older neighbourhoods are full of post-war bungalows and 1970s split-levels.
