How it works
Efficiency Manitoba pays $0.50 per watt for a grid-connected solar photovoltaic system installed on a Manitoba home, for systems up to 10 kW, to a maximum of $5,000 per home.
The home must be your or your tenant's primary residence, occupied and heated year-round, and be a single-detached, semi-detached or mobile home on a permanent foundation, or a duplex to multiplex unit with its own meter. The system must be new, bought in Canada, connected to the home's main meter and Manitoba Hydro's grid, meet the Manitoba Electrical Code, and be installed by a licensed electrical contractor registered with Efficiency Manitoba.
Manitoba Hydro must approve the grid connection before any work starts. Once the system passes final inspection, is running and is paid for, your contractor submits the rebate application and Efficiency Manitoba mails you a cheque.
