How it works

Efficiency Manitoba pays $50 when you buy and install an eligible ENERGY STAR certified smart thermostat, new or certified refurbished, bought in Canada. Install it and apply within 90 days of purchase.

The thermostat must be on Efficiency Manitoba's eligible product list and installed in your or your tenant's primary residence, or a cottage heated year-round. Line-voltage thermostats for baseboard heaters, apartments, seasonal homes and vacation rentals are not eligible.

Owners of a qualifying ecobee thermostat can also enrol in Efficiency Manitoba's Peak Partners program, which makes small adjustments to heating or cooling during peak periods.
