How it works

The Home Energy Navigator is a free program created by the Capital Regional District (CRD) and local governments in the capital region. City Green Solutions, a local non-profit, runs it. After you register, an Energy Concierge holds a virtual home energy consultation, helps you choose upgrades, reviews quotes and helps with rebate applications. You also get a personalized retrofit guide.

The City of Victoria promotes the Navigator as its main support for homeowners. A limited-time offer of $75 enhanced EnerGuide evaluations for homes upgrading to heat pumps is now full and not taking registrations.

Who qualifies

  • Homeowners in the capital region, including the City of Victoria.
  • Special offers are limited and open only in select communities when available.

How to apply

  1. Step 1: Register at homeenergynav.ca or call 1-866-381-9995 for help with registration.

  2. Step 2: An Energy Concierge contacts you to book a free virtual consultation.
